During University recesses, The John Flynn College continues to offer relaxed, inexpensive, and high quality function and conference rooms for all corporate clubs, meetings, and wedding functions.

First-rate facilities including a function room with catering and accommodation services, and easy parking and accessible audiovisual equipment, bolster the College location as first choice for your event.

 

The College’s glass walled function room, overlooking tree-lined grounds with great views of  Townsville, is an idyllic spot for a corporate or social function.

The air-conditioned dining room comfortably serve 200 guests (smaller numbers are no problem) with room to spare for a dance floor that can accommodate live bands.

Innovative decorating and set-up services can also enhance the character of your event, guaranteeing a lasting impression with your guests.

 

Facilities:Access to the University’s facilities, professional staff and large range of audio-visual and other technical equipment conveniently complement meeting and conference proceedings.

Easy parking is available, as well as a Sunbus service to the University, or call us to discuss “door to door dining”

Our high quality kitchen and dining room proudly present a wide range of menu options – from finger food or buffet through to a la carte banquets.

Our friendly and highly trained staff can cater for up to 200 guests.

Our clean, fully furnished, air-conditioned rooms are available for short term and longer staying guests, including visiting academics, new postgraduate students, and short-term visitors (such as sporting teams and corporate groups) to the James Cook University.

College accommodation is on par with other accommodation options, with all rooms boasting views of the surrounding gardens, reflecting the stunning natural style of the vibrant North Queensland region.

Accommodation ranges from full board to "bed and breakfast" arrangements with packages from one night to several months.

A wide variety of fully catered, high quality meals are also offered, with catering available for special requirements.

A large air-conditioned lounge and entertainment room featuring TV, VCR, DVD, pool table and a piano is available to make your stay more comfortable.

Short Term Residency:

The John Flynn College has a flat reserved for accommodation on a casual basis.

This accommodation is readily available to visiting academics, new postgraduate students, and short-term visitors to the James Cook University.

Packages are available from one night to several months or a semester, and may be either full board or "bed and breakfast" arrangements.

 

 

Rates and Dates :

The College offers short-term residency during the mid year and end of year vacation periods.
Applications should be made directly to the College and rates are negotiable according to your needs.
